AI Decoded

Custom presentation engine hosting my talks on AI. Web-native decks at a URL.

Hub for the talks I give on AI. Two decks today: “AI, Explained” for general audiences, and “I Built a Game. AI Did Everything Else.” on the Die Forward pipeline. Custom engine, zero build step, share-as-a-URL. Forked from the deck I built for the Civic GTM pitch.

What I was solving

I give a lot of talks on AI as a production pipeline, and the standard tools (Keynote, Google Slides, Reveal.js) all force the same trade-off: either I get the typography and motion I want and lose web hosting, or I host on the web and accept a generic “deck on a CDN” look. I wanted my talks to feel like the rest of my work — editorial, web-native, and shareable as just a URL.

How I built it

Vanilla HTML, CSS, and a tiny JS scroll/keyboard router — no framework, no build step, no deploy pipeline beyond wrangler pages deploy. Each deck is a folder of slide HTML fragments rendered into a snap-scrolled column with a few keyboard shortcuts and a print-to-PDF stylesheet for handouts. The engine started as the deck I built for my Civic GTM pitch (civic-preso) and got cleaned up into something I can fork per topic in about an hour.

What happened

Hosts two decks today: a 25-slide intro to how I think about AI for non-technical audiences, and a behind-the-scenes breakdown of how Die Forward got built using AI as the production pipeline. Both go out as the “send-ahead” before talks. The deeper bet: every talk I give from here lives at this URL, in this format, instead of as a Keynote file in someone’s Drive.
